Why are you raising the rates for Site Registration (permanent sites)?
As a paid service, STARS Vigilant Site Registration exists to provide customers 24/7 access to a dynamic emergency response, including physician-led medical consultation and coordination.
This rate adjustment will ensure our costs are optimized, allowing us to continuously improve our services to meet your needs and support STARS’ mission of providing critical care anywhere.

Why are you changing your invoicing process and how will you invoice for multiple permanent sites? Can I opt out?
Our team has received feedback that managing multiple billing cycles is complex and created additional administrative work. To address this, we’ve streamlined our process by aligning you to a single billing cycle and one annual invoice for all site registration services currently being used.
This change allows us to provide an improved experience for our customers and our teams. If you have concerns on your annual invoice date, we are happy to work with you on a new billing date that meets your needs.

How much is my annual rate and how did you determine what you’ll be charging?
The new annual rate was determined after reviewing our costs to deliver Site Registration and allows us to offer our customers the best possible service. This increase is the first adjustment we have implemented since we started providing Site Registration over 20years ago.
To maintain delivery of our trusted service, we have changed the permanent site annual rate from $150 to $200, a $50 increase which will take place on your next annual billing date. Temporary site registration rates have also been adjusted and some customers may see an increase compared to the current pay-per-use fee.

I expect my Site Registration usage to decrease this year due to a change in our business needs. Is it possible to review my permanent site usage?
Yes. We’d be happy to work with you to determine how many permanent or temporary sites you require in addition to how many sites you currently have registered. To do so, fill out the form below and someone from the Vigilant Team will reach out to review your usage needs.

I’ve already paid for my permanent sites for this year. Have your rates been prorated or adjusted?
Yes, we have prorated your account taking into consideration any fees already paid this year.

Will I continue to receive a separate bill for my temporary and permanent sites?
No. Temporary and permanent sites will be billed together as one annual fee, on one annual invoice.

How do I ensure I’m moved to the new annual rate?
STARS is proactively contacting all its Site Registration customers about this rate adjustment. Customers who register permanent sties only will automatically see this change on your next annual invoice. Customers who register temporary and permanent sites will receive your new annual 60 days after delivery of a rate adjustment communication.
Review and acceptance of our Terms and Conditions found here confirms your acceptance of our new rates and the transition to an annual fee.

When will these rates go into effect?
Permanent site registration customers will see the new rate on your next annual invoice date. Permanent and temporary site registration customers will receive their new annual invoice 60 days after delivery of the rate adjustment communication.

Can I pay my new annual rate by credit card?
Your invoice can be paid by credit card through our online payment system here.

If I choose not to continue with Vigilant Site Registration services, does that mean STARS will not fly to my location?
STARS is committed to providing critical care, anywhere and we will continue to partner with emergency services who will activate first responders when needed. If you choose not to continue with Site Registration, your existing sites will be closed and you will no longer have access to register your remote sites, which limits the information available to STARS should we be requested.
