STARS Signature Events
Every year, STARS organizes a series of signature fundraising events across Western Canada that bring together community leaders, industry partners, and dedicated supporters — all united by a shared goal: to help STARS continue providing life-saving critical care, anywhere. More than just fundraisers these events are powerful celebrations of community spirit, resilience, and generosity. Each event offers a unique opportunity to experience the STARS mission in action and make a lasting impact.
STARS Rescue
Brave community leaders trade in their work attire for flight suits, climbing onboard the STARS helicopter for a once-in-a-lifetime mission. Participants undertake a series of challenges in a remote location raising as much money as possible to secure their “rescue” back to civilization.
Rescue events in Western Canada have raised more than $14 million for STARS.
Field of STARS
Field of STARS presented by Pioneer celebrates agriculture’s ongoing commitment to STARS and its mission to provide critical care, anywhere. Thanks to community support, this signature event has raised more than $3.5 million to date!
An unforgettable evening features BBQ rib dinner, an exciting live and silent auction, fun games, and live performances. All proceeds from Field of STARS go directly to helping us be there for the next patient in need of life-saving care.
A Night with STARS
A Night with STARS events take place annually in cities across the provinces we serve. These première networking events offer attendees the chance to enjoy a delicious dinner, dancing, live entertainment, and connect with peers and fellow allies — all in support of raising critical funds for STARS.
Critical Care on the Air Radiothon
Critical Care on the Air is STARS’ annual two-day radiothon, broadcast across 90 stations in Western Canada. Listeners hear first-hand from STARS crew members, community allies and Very Important Patients (VIPs) as they share their inspiring stories of survival and bravery, giving Western Canadians a glimpse into STARS’ life-saving impact.
Critical Care on the Air is made possible by generous supporters and community allies. To date, it has raised over $3 million to support our mission of providing advanced critical care, wherever it’s needed.
