I’ve never received past due notices before, why am I seeing this now?
As a paid service, STARS Vigilant exists to provide clients with 24/7 access to a dynamic emergency response, including physician-led medical consultation and coordination. All revenue realized through site registration goes directly to fund our life saving mission.
We reviewed opportunities to improve the customer experience across our Vigilant suite of services and have identified opportunities for improvement related to how we invoice and follow up on overdue balances. These changes will ensure our costs to serve are recovered, allowing us to continuously improve to meet your needs and support STARS mission of providing critical care, anywhere.

The amount I owe is from more than a year ago, why was I not notified earlier?
As part of a broader initiative to elevate customer experience, we identified several invoices related to Vigilant services that were beyond 90 days overdue. We are now reaching out to our customers to inform them of their overdue balance, assisting with payments arrangements, and proactively tracking all accounts receivable to ensure they remain up to date.
We know timeliness and transparency are priorities for our customers and appreciate you taking the time to review and pay your outstanding balance.
-
If my services are suspended, does that mean that STARS won’t help me?
STARS is committed to providing critical care, anywhere and we will continue to partner with emergency services who will activate first responders when needed . Suspension of services means you will no longer have access to open new sites or edit existing sites until full payment of the outstanding balance is received.
Suspension may lead to outdated location information being referenced during an emergency, resulting in a potential delay in response while that information is confirmed. This could also mean that you will be out of regulatory compliance if STARS Vigilant Services are part of your emergency management plans.
We appreciate you making it a priority to get your past due amount cleared up.

How do I know what is outstanding, is there an account summary?
Yes. A detailed account summary outlining the outstanding balance for each outstanding invoice is available. Our accounts receivable team will require 48 hours to put this together and email it to you.
-
Can I pay you by credit card?
Yes, you are able to make a secure payment on line by clicking the following link:

To complete your payment, you will need your invoice number and the balance owing, which you can find on the last invoice we sent you.
Your organization’s security policy may require you to submit a request through your Information Technology team to whitelist the payment domain.

In the past I received a detailed description of my sites, why am I no longer receiving that?
While usage summaries have been provided in the past, advancements in accounting software have changed how invoices are reviewed and approved. We have determined that this level of detail is no longer sustainable. The cost and time associated with creating these schedules directly impacts the revenue we contribute to STARS mission of providing critical care, anywhere. We will be providing a less detailed version of those schedules which will provide basic historical data that supports our new revenue model. As a foundation, we are diligent about streamlining operational costs and considering the impact of funding our mission when we provide services beyond what’s included in our paid offerings.
We appreciate your contributions and look forward to continuing to provide you with 24/7 access to a dynamic emergency response, including physician-led medical consultation and coordination.
