Employer Matching Gifts

Your workplace may offer ways to make your support for STARS go further. Through employer matching gifts, payroll giving or workplace donation programs, your gift can help provide critical care to the next patient who needs us.

Many employers offer programs that can increase the impact of your donation to STARS. Some companies match charitable gifts made by employees, retirees or spouses, while others offer workplace giving programs through payroll deductions or other donation platforms.

These programs are an easy way to help your support go further, often at no additional cost to you.

How employer matching gifts work

1. Make Your Donation

Make your donation to STARS and keep your receipt or confirmation email, as your employer may ask for proof of your gift.

2. Check with your employer

Contact your Human Resources, payroll or corporate giving team to ask whether your company offers a matching gift or workplace giving program.

3. Submit your request

Follow your employer’s process to submit a matching gift request or set up workplace giving. You may need STARS’ legal name, mailing address and charitable registration number.

4. Your employer sends the gift

Once approved, your employer will send the matching gift or workplace contribution to STARS.

Important notes

Some employers also offer payroll giving or workplace donation platforms. Your Human Resources, payroll or corporate giving team can confirm what options are available and how to direct support to STARS.
