STARS to fly Santa to hospital in Grande Prairie
December 17, 2015
Grande Prairie, AB, Dec. 17, 2015 – Media are invited to join in welcoming Santa Claus when he is dropped off by the STARS crew at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital (QEII) helipad in Grande Prairie to deliver gifts to young patients. Santa’s helicopter escort will be arriving at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Thursday Dec. 17. Please note that this event is subject to the availability of the helicopter.
“I love traveling in style and the STARS helicopter is no second to none,” says Mr. Claus. “The STARS crew know that they have to be extra careful as we are carrying such precious cargo – presents for little boys and girls, as well as myself.”
This is the eighth year that STARS and Santa have partnered to deliver gifts to children at the QEII. “We’re happy to be helping Santa deliver his toys to the kids at the hospital,” says STARS nurse Suzanne Zaph . “This way, the reindeer get a break too. As we speak, our engineers are diligently working to make sure Santa’s sleigh is all tuned up and ready for Christmas.”
After the helicopter landing, media is requested to meet Santa in the information area. Santa wants to thank all the staff of Revolution Auto Group for graciously donating all of the toys for the event.
