STARS Gala Fundraiser Building Magic in the Air

Edmonton, Alberta, October 14, 2011 - The Alberta construction industry and the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society (STARS) are partnering in a shared initiative of education, safety and saving lives, through an annual fundraising gala that has been created in support of STARS.

Presented by the Building Trades of Alberta Charitable Foundation, the first annual fundraiser, Building Magic in the Air, will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Chateau Lacombe in Edmonton in support of STARS. The evening will include a champagne reception, dinner, entertainment, dancing, raffles and a live and silent auction.

STARS is a charitable non-profit organization that has responded to more than 21,000 emergencies since it began in 1985. STARS provides service 24 hours a day, seven days a week from bases in Calgary, Edmonton and Grande Prairie. STARS unique model of community, corporate and government support allows the organization to continue innovating excellence in patient care.
