As STARS’ Air Medical Crews and pilots care for critically ill and injured patients, they aren’t alone. You help keep STARS in the sky when you fund one of our vital flights.
Life can change without a moment’s notice – from a workplace injury, a heart attack, a premature birth or a car crash. Quick access to appropriate emergency medical care can make the difference between life and death. Your support is critical to our ability to save lives.
A donation of $5,400 will help make one patient’s mission possible – this includes the medical and aviation crew, as well as the necessary medical supplies and helicopter fuel needed from the time a STARS helicopter and crew leaves the base, arrives on scene, and provides critical care and medical transportation for a critically ill or injured patient.
Please help fund a flight by donating to STARS today. A donation of $5,400 – equal to one dollar per second of an average 90 minute mission – will take STARS closer to those who urgently need emergency medical transport. When the mission you helped fund has been completed, you will receive a STARS Certificate of Support and information about the mission your donation funded.

Although the $5,400 mission cost is based on the average mission flight time of 1.5 hours, the actual cost of each mission varies based on length of trip, weather and patient need. The average mission cost of $5,400 does not include the training and education, emergency communication, aircraft maintenance, and the other support services required to operate a helicopter EMS program 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
