STARS Career Opportunity

Director, Fundraising Analytics & Systems

Location: Calgary

Closing Date: Feb 12, 2018

When STARS took to the air for the first time over 30 years ago, our founder, Dr. Powell, checked the mail every morning to see if enough donations had been received to keep our doors open one more day. Motivated to dramatically change emergency care for communities across a vast landscape, he threw his passion into creating a helicopter air ambulance service – built and supported by the community.

Today, STARS provides world-class services across Western Canada and continues to be fueled by grassroots community support. For many, STARS is their lifeline.

We want you to be part of the crew that makes this all possible.

Director, Fundraising Analytics & Systems (Calgary)

Reporting to the EVP Foundation and as a member of the Foundation’s leadership team, the Director, Fundraising Analytics & Systems plays a critical role within the STARS Foundation by providing analytics and intelligence to optimize donor engagement and fundraising strategies. With oversight of the Annual Giving and Donations Services team, this role will steer the direction of the annual giving and pipeline efforts at STARS. The Director is also the ‘owner’ of the Foundation’s business processes and systems (Raiser’s Edge, Team Raiser and NetCommunity) and work laterally with other team members in support of revenue targets.

The position demands critical and creative thinking. By providing analytical structure to key strategic decisions, this position will ultimately be responsible for delivering actionable insights and opportunities into donor behavior to support fundraising colleagues. Financial literacy and business planning acumen will be important skills to bring to the role. A post-secondary degree and at least five years’ experience with fundraising analysis, applied marketing research and/or a related field is desired.

We offer a competitive salary based on education and experience, as well as an excellent organization-paid benefit package with a matched RRSP program.

More importantly, you will be a key member of the STARS organization and a link in our ability to execute our mission of saving lives safely within the chain of survival.

To explore this opportunity further, please submit your resume to resumesab@stars.ca. Close date February 12, 2018.
