Manager – Events, Alberta, STARS Foundation
An integral part of the STARS team, the Manager, Events Alberta is responsible for managing and enhancing the fundraising events of the Foundation. The Manager, Events Alberta will work with the events team to develop strategies to increase revenue, develop donor relationships and oversee all areas of event design, coordination, implementation and community outreach. The Manager Events, Alberta will lead collaboration and advancement of an overarching events revenue strategy. Demonstrated experience in leadership, planning, evaluation, fundraising, budgeting, volunteer management, and marketing is required. This position reports to the Director, Event and Community Engagement.
When evaluating your suitability for this role you recognize your successful track record in planning fundraising events and an acute understanding of delivering exceptional donor stewardship. You have an aptitude for developing strong long lasting relationships with donors. With superior verbal and written communications skills, above average critical thinking skills and an ability to work well within a committee structure you have succeeded in your endeavors. You understand that willingness and ability to travel and work evening and weekends is an element of an events role.
Your resume illustrates a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in leadership, events management, and a post-secondary degree in business management, public relations, communications or a related field. You are comfortable with Raisers Edge, Net Community and all Microsoft Office Products.
