Development Officer, Events

Location: Grande Prairie base

This individual is responsible for assisting in all areas of rural and urban fundraising event design, coordination and implementation, and reports directly to the Director, Events & Community Engagement in Calgary. The Development Officer, Events also builds long-term relationships with rural communities, maintains open lines of communication with external groups, and coordinates cheque acceptance events and tours with Administration on behalf of STARS - Alberta.

You have a minimum of three years of experience in event planning and fund development, as well as experience in evaluation, budgeting, volunteer management, and marketing. An organized relationship builder with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure, you have MS Office, Raiser’s Edge or other relational database, and Net Community experience. Your educational background includes an undergraduate degree in a related field such as Marketing, Special Events, or Public Relations. You are comfortable within a committee structure, willing to travel, and able to work evenings and weekends.
